Lurchin' like an urchin
Across the ocean floor,
A spiny boy was searchin'
For a girl he could adore.
He found an old propeller;
He found a metal drum.
A lonely, pointy feller —
Would his turn never come?
He crossed the reef in three weeks,
And back again in four;
And settled down alone again —
A-lurchin' nevermore.
